Embrace Your Oddity

The Project:

We’re creating a full-length feature called, Cards & Bones, about a middle-aged witch who questions her life decisions, and in an effort to make some changes, she throws a cocktail party centered around a fascinating parlor game. The guest list includes the angel Lucifer, the Babylonian goddess Ishtar, and the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl. By the end of the night, things go sideways.

The Plan:

We intend to shoot in the summer of 2027. Between now and then, we need investors, but to win them over, we need to show them something tangible. So, we intend to shoot a trailer for the movie in the spring of 2026. It’s going to be a 90-second montage, stitched together from key scenes, that will communicate the flavor of the film: funny, dark, touching, terrifying, and very, very odd. We have a gorgeous venue lined up, we have talented actors and crew on board, we have a musical composer and equipment and software and enough vision and drive to erect a ziggurat, but we need help.
